Marbella East is well-known for its perfect beaches, world-class golf courses and green surroundings, home to some of the best urbanisations and residential communities on the Costa del Sol. There are a large number of foreign residents, with Scandinavian, Dutch and German nationals favouring the East of Marbella. While booming in the summer, Marbella East is also popular during the winter months due to its exceptional dining options.

La Reserva de los Monteros is a private beachside urbanisation, offering tranquility, privacy and sandy beaches. The area also has several beach clubs, chiringuitos and beachside restaurants, popular amongst both residents and tourists. Properties in the area, made up of luxury apartments and palatial villas, offer exceptional views of the Mediterranean coastline and are also within close proximity to the beach.

Rio Real is comprised of a selection of private, secluded luxury properties, from apartment complexes to high-end villas. The nearby Rio Real Golf Hotel is an upscale boutique hotel with only thirty bedrooms and its own private 18-hole golf course, golf academy, clubhouse, outdoor swimming pool and spa.

Bahía de Marbella, while tranquil, offers close proximity and access to the main road and is home to some of the nicest beaches on the Costa del Sol. The area is popular due to its two nearby golf courses, Rio Real Golf and Santa Clara Golf, as well as its exquisite beach restaurant.

Los Altos de Marbella, known as the Heights of Marbella in English, offers spectacular views from its elevated position above the town of Marbella. A small community of only 100 houses, los Altos de Marbella distinguishes itself from other surrounding communities due to its traditional Andalucian village style. While properties in the area are in high demand, most of them have been purchased as investment properties or as holiday homes. The community is popular amongst Spanish nationals as well as foreign residents.

Urbanización Las Chapas is one of the most well-known residential areas in Marbella East. It’s popular amongst tourists due to its camping and caravan site next to the beach. The area is well known for its fantastic beaches, lively bars and restaurants. The world-famous Nikki Beach Marbella and the 5* Don Carlos Hotel can be found in the local area, making it popular and busy during the summer months.

El Rosario is popular with foreign residents, specifically Scandinavians and Germans. The two local international schools, Las Chapas College and the New English International School also make the area increasing popular with families. Occupying from the beach up past the motorway, the area is made up of restaurants, bars and numerous successful businesses. The urbanisation is private and offers 24 hour security.

Elviria is just a fifteen minute drive from the centre of Marbella. Again popular among Scandinavians, many of the properties in the area are within close proximity, many within walking distance, of endless amenities and facilities, as well as just a short walk from the beach. While famed for the surrounding golf courses, the Casco Tennis Club is also in the area. The urbanisation is popular with families due to the close proximity of the Costa del Sol Hospital as well as the English International School.
