Marbella Town & Golden Mile

Marbella Town & Golden Mile

Marbella is Spain’s famous riviera, located within the province of Málaga in Andalucía, Southern Spain. The area is well-known for its warm client and over 300 days of sunshine a year, hence its name, the Costa del Sol, translating to the “Coast of the Sun”.

Apart from sandy beaches, Marbella is well-known around the world for its first-class golf courses and its several marinas, each of them filled with luxurious yachts, Puerto Banús being the most famous marina of them all.

A beautiful beach town, Marbella really does have it all, from its impressive sports cars that line the streets, the luxury apartments and palatial estates, exclusive shops, vibrant nightlife and exquisite fine dining, complemented by its stunning landscape of high mountains and traditional Spanish white-washed villages.

Marbella’s strategic location means it's just a short distance from Gibraltar, where you can catch the ferry to Tangier in Morocco. On a clear day, you can see the mountains in Northern Africa from Marbella and all the way down the Mediterranean coastline to Gibraltar.

The nearest airport is Málaga International Airport, offering flights all over Europe and around the world. The airport is only a 45 minute drive by car and Marbella has several companies offering transport between your home and the airport.

Marbella is famed for its sandy beaches. Offering 27 kilometres of Mediterranean coastline, the Costa del Sol has been divided into twenty-four different beaches, each of them offering unique qualities. Most of the beaches offer moderate waves and fine golden sand, many of which are lined with traditional Spanish chiringuitos, where beach-goers can enjoy exquisite traditional Spanish cuisine, including the famous barbequed sardines.

The beaches of Puerto Banús and San Pedro de Alcántara have been awarded the Blue Flag, an environmental certification awarded to marinas and beaches from the Foundation for Environmental Education.
